Gilad Shainer

CCIX President
Gilad Shainer has served as Mellanox's vice president of marketing since March 2013. Previously, Mr. Shainer was Mellanox's vice president of marketing development from March 2012 to March 2013. Mr. Shainer joined Mellanox in 2001 as a design engineer and later served in senior marketing management roles between July 2005 and February 2012. Mr. Shainer serves as the chairman of the HPC Advisory Council organization, he serves as a board member in the OpenPOWER, CCIX, OpenCAPI and UCF organizations, a member of IBTA and contributor to the PCI-SIG® PCI-X™ and PCIe® specifications. Mr. Shainer holds multiple patents in the field of high-speed networking. He is also a recipient of 2015 R&D100 award for his contribution to the CORE-Direct collective offload technology. Gilad Shainer holds an MSc degree (2001, Cum Laude) and a BSc degree (1998, Cum Laude) in Electrical Engineering from the Technion Institute of Technology in Israel.

Gaurav Singh

CCIX Chairman
Gaurav Singh is VP Architecture and Verification for all products at Xilinx. Gaurav has served in engineering, management and strategic roles in his career. He started his career as a circuit and logic designer on the K6 microprocessor and part of the verification team on Opteron design. He then built switch fabrics and L2/L3 switches at RMI and then architected and built the MIPS CPU that eventually became the XLP processor. Prior to Xilinx he was VP of Engineering and Product development at APM responsible for the PowerPC and then ARM v8 processors. He has a masters’ degree in EE from the University of Southern California.

Jeff Defilippi

CCIX Treasurer
Jeff Defilippi is currently Director Product Manager at Arm helping to define architectures and products for one to many core systems addressing the compute needs of future applications.  Prior to Arm, Jeff has had various system engineering, architecture and management roles at Calxeda, Freescale and SigmaTel, where he developed platforms for scale-out data center, embedded and portable media applications.

Gord Caruk

Gord Caruk is a Fellow Design Engineer at Advanced Micro Devices. He has been in the industry for >30 years, >20 of that at ATI/AMD, where his work has focused on I/O system interconnect architecture. Gord is part of the team delivering standardized peripheral component interconnect technologies into most of AMD’s products.

Jim Panian

Jim Panian is a Senior Director, Technical Standards at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. Jim has been in the industry for over 30 years. His responsibilities include standards and architecture planning as pertaining to advanced connectivity technologies. Jim earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 1984.

Tarzan Pan

Tarzan Pan is leading the I/O Technology Standard Group (IOTSG) in the Huawei Computing Product Line. He has worked in the industry for over 25 years and focuses on computing architecture, server processor micro-architecture, I/O technologies, JDEDC standard, RAS features, performance tuning and debug methodology.
